Michigan 2009

This was a very exciting trip for me, for it would be the first time in many years that I (we) would be able to stay in the area and camp, visit, explore, relax, reminisce, you name it.

When I was growing up, my parents used to take us kids camping at various campgrounds along the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was a very impressionable time for me as a child.

We often went camping with our neighbors whose kids were also my age, and made for many enjoyable moments.

It was a place that I hadn't really been to since I was a child, and now I could share it with my wife and son.

The weather could not have been more perfect and cooperative. We camped for three full weeks and only had a hand full of days where it rained. It worked out good as that was when we would take the time to get caught up on the laundry.

About author
I'm just an average hiker blogging about my adventures. Some people enjoy reading the narrative of stories, while others just want the pictures; I'll post both.

Everyone hikes differently at their own pace and limits; my posts are about mine. My blogs should be used for reference purposes only.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog; feel free to leave a comment or rating.
